No prizes for us at this year’s Global Cheese Awards in Frome (last year we took the gold in the Best Artisan Soft Cheese category).
But there was no doubting the crowd’s enthusiasm for Renegade Monk at the cheese show itself. Yes, we got through huge quantities of samples to feed the hungry hordes – but they bought as well – so much that we had sold out completely two hours before the end of the show.
The only drawback was that we had to return home, exhausted, to wrap another batch in time for the Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival the next day…
