Rebel Nun, a soft, blue, rind-washed cheese, delicately bathed in organic ale and created by us here at Feltham’s Farm is to be stocked by Waitrose from November 2021, as Feltham’s Farm exclusive supermarket partner for the cheese.

Rebel Nun was awarded one star at this year’s Guild of Fine Foods Great Taste Awards, and a Gold at the Global Cheese Awards.

Rebel Nun is the milder, more blue sister cheese to multi-award winning Renegade Monk, winner of Best British Cheese at the Virtual Cheese Awards 2020.

The Rebel Nun label is created by artist and musician Jem Panufnik, whose cult following and unique approach to design helps Rebel Nun grow its audience worldwide – including the Netherlands, Canada, USA and France.

About Feltham’s Farm

Feltham’s Farm is an organic smallholding in the Blackmore Vale in Somerset.  It aims to be as sustainable as possible running on 40KW of solar panels and ground source heat while all local deliveries are made in a 100% electric van, including Rebel Nuns to Waitrose’s central distribution centre.

Oxford Sandy & Black pigs consume all the whey produced (making a very sweet parma-like ham) so there is minimum waste.

Marcus Fergusson and Penny Nagle started making cheese in 2017, having always been passionate about food and cheese.  Inspired by their travels, they bring cheese ideas back to be developed and created in “the Vale of Little Dairies, Blackmoor Vale” (“Tess of the d’Urbervilles” by Thomas Hardy).
